Good Morning, y’all!! I am so excited to share this post with you today because it is Fall Fabulous! 14 of the Most Amazing Fall Home Tours coming right to you…right now! So, grab your coffee, hot coco, tea, or Diet Coke (yeah…i know y’all are out there!) and snuggle up and enjoy some amazing fall inspiration! Ready?! Here we go!
I decided i would welcome y’all into my home from the front steps this time…
Come on in, i just made some Pumpkin Bread. I chose to stay pretty simple this year, only adding in my favorite things… Although, I am currently in the process of trying to add some Smart Home features into my home. A friend of mine in the UK had recently visited a Crestron Specialist in London and been thrilled with the results. I may have to do something similar! I’m thinking of moving house too actually. I’ve been searching for a bungalow innisfil pool and found some great properties!
Some yellow mums…a few mats to knock the dirt off your boots on the way in (i have 5 kids… multiple mats are required) plus, they are so cute…with a long walk in, why just settle for one?!?
I love classic terracotta pots, in any season…especially after the years have started to age them. These pots are just starting to hit the beginning of the perfect aging of terracotta…in 3 more years, they’ll start to look amazing.
I love adding texture to my pots in the fall…dried straw is such an easy and inexpensive addition that just screams Fall.
Happy Fall Y’all….
I love this quote…and i LOVE my metal cubby vintage find…it gets moved ALL OVER my house. I’m sure i still haven’t found its limits in adding to a space. And the oval olive bucket? That was a target find last year…i just left it outside in the elements all year and it’s finally displaying an Old Olive Bucket feel. (it was $14, ya’ll…that’s so much cheaper than my authentic Olive Buckets inside…but its starting to look pretty good!)
Come on in, y’all…
Wait… let’s take a second to pause for this cute mat!! In love!! Is there a better way for a small town country girl to invite guests into the home?!
Here’s the first thing you see when you enter our home. I LOVE this old truck i found one day while out thrifting. It makes me happy every time i bring it out in the fall. I just added some acorns and pumpkins to bring the Fall Feeling to this table. I like to keep this entry way somewhat simple.
Here is the entry from the other angle…
I love this little chair. It is OLD. I didn’t paint it to look this way, the beauty of time did it. I LOVE pieces like this. There are some lights wrapped around pinecones in a curved wire basket with a simple burlap bow around it. There are even some wires that have loosened over the years on the basket, but i love the way it adds to it’s charm. I have a nubby, old off white blanket over the back of the chair…and it is sooo soft and cozy! Its old, and worn and has snags in a few places…but is definitely a favorite for snuggling in our home. I don’t stop the kids from using old cherished items around here…i think they were made to be used, and were lovingly used before being handed down to us, and that’s what makes them beautiful. We are FAR from museum life around here. Everything is used and enjoyed and loved. That’s not right for everyone, but it’s right for us.
Here’s a closer look at the chair:
To the left of the entry is the piano room. I put one of my paintings up on the antique window shelf i made… this painting is now sold, but i loved it. If you want to see more of my paintings, you can find them at my Etsy shop “Fine Art Cottage” or click HERE to view them…
Here are a few pics in the piano room…
I added some black pots in a tray along the back of the piano. A little reindeer and spanish moss and a few white pumpkins on top completed the look. Behind it is a ceramic birch vase that i added some wheat sprays to create some draping…and added some cotton stems and a few white burlap fall leaves. The pot behind is a french find that usually has spring hydrangeas in it…but i couldn’t bring myself to put it away until next spring yet…so i added some moss and a textured pumpkin (Target) to it.
To the left of the piano, is my old French Chair i refinished a year or so ago with my lovely Mora Clock…still a favorite:
See that darling pillow?!? I have an exciting coupon for y’all today! It was made by one of my sweet friends’ Kendra @SoVintageChic ( and you can’t believe all of the other cute pillows she makes!!!) …ready for the best part?! Kendra is giving 20% off to my readers on their pillow orders!!! Click HERE and then enter Code: ONEHORSELANE for 20% off on your purchase!! Happy Fall y’all! I’ve already purchased all my Christmas pillows…they are gorgeous!!
You back?! Didn’t i tell you that y’all would LOVE her pillows?!
OK, let’s keep going …
I know all the rage lately has been dough bowls…and for good reason. THEY ARE GORGEOUS. I have always loved old bowls mad from wood and picked this one up a few years ago. It’s a bit wobbly and aged perfectly, and it was love at first sight at the french antique fair i found it at!
I love keeping the piano room a little dressy, neutral, and a tiny bit feminine. I added white and burlap pumpkins…
Some antlers, burlap fall leaves, and some gorgeous white dried flowers i found at a market last year…
And a burlap Fall sign framed in distressed white…all on one of my favorite Antique tables of all time. I’m not sure ill ever part with this one. It’s so aged and loved…not because of the craftmanship of artisans and refinsihers, but because this is what has truly happened over time…and it is so charming to me, with all of it’s imperfections.
Last, but not least, i’m gonna give y’all a tiny glimpse into our great room. I have a Halloween Home tour coming, as well as a Thanksgiving At Home tour…and a Christmas Home Tour coming (If you don’t want to miss those tours, scroll back to the top of the page and enter your email to have them delivered right to your inbox!) …so, i only am showing a tiny piece of our great room…the fireplace:
(Nevermind that you can see the reflection of my dog snuggling in a blanket of the chair adjacent … 🙂 )
I’m showing y’all this little section because im IN LOVE with this giant vintage tool box i picked up from a garage in a tiny town close to me…it’s seriously 5 feet long. It’s patina is amazing.
Please forgive the GIANT flash in the fireplace…light was getting low. I chose to fill its compartments with mums, faux pumpkins, glittered pumpkins, real pumpkins, and burlap leaves and flowers. I also added the wood letters to spell out P-U-M-P-K-I-N-S that are hooked onto bendable wire.. i use them every year in different spots. LOVE these letters hooked to wire. So simple to make and makes them so adaptable to any decor space.
I hope y’all have enjoyed a little peek into my home during Fall… But, your tour isn’t over…in the links below you have 14 of the Most Amazing Fall Home Tours!!
